These photographs were taken six days after we received the diagnoses that my Father had Liver Cancer. May 6th, 2020. The Pandemic had begun and all of my siblings had recently moved back to the area.

Our childhood home, though beautiful, quickly transformed itself into a hothouse where tension occupied every space.
These images capture the process of creating a new normal that revolved around play and the suspension of reality and our current conditions. Using land and nature as an oasis to escape from being in the house and forced to reckon with unknown feelings.
